The Scientific Research & Experimental Development (SR&ED) program is a federal tax incentive program designed to encourage Canadian companies (both large and small) to conduct research and development. The program, administered by the CRA, provides benefits in the form of cash refunds (small companies) and/or tax credits on eligible work done in Canada.

We have extensive experience in preparing and defending Scientific Research & Experimental Development (SR&ED) claims for both large and small companies. We have spent a considerable amount of time working directly with the CRA, have an in-depth understanding of the technical review process, and regularly work on claims in the areas of IT, telecommunications, controls, electronics, and software development claims. We have also assisted many clients to establish best practices within their internal project methodologies and processes in order to be able to successfully substantiate associated SR&ED claims.
